Job Description: Seeking highly motivated, experienced Concrete laborer. Candidates must meet the following requirements:
Responsible for setting the concrete forms, ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch
Placing, finishing, protecting and repairing concrete
Ensure the cement mixture is safely handled, properly poured, and finished in an attractive manner free of cracks and imperfections
May operate hand and power tools of all types; air hammers, tampers, cement mixers, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other tools and equipment
May excavate and prepare sites, dig trenches, set forms or braces, clean up rubble and debris.
Assist concrete finishers in placing concrete. Clean and maintain tools, trucks and equipment.
Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement.
Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools.
Prepare work site for concrete pour, using shovels and other hand tools to backfill area with sub-grade materials and to compact and level work area
Remove and clean forms, boards and stakes once job is completed, cleans tools and ensure debris is removed from work site
Set up barricades and safety cones to cordon off work areas and perform other related tasks in compliance with safety rules and regulations
Maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Must have 2 valid forms of ID (driver’s license, social security card, birth certificate, passport), we use E-verify to check your right to work in the US.
Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background test.
Must have at least 2 verifiable references.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Job Description: Seeking talented Equipment Operators for Civil/Utility work. Candidates must meet the following requirements:
Under general supervision, operates equipment, performs routine maintenance, cleans and maintains equipment. Essential Functions: Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.
Experience with digging/working around existing utilities. Utilities experience is a HUGE plus.
Proficient in the following types of equipment: Excavator, dozer, backhoe, bobcat forklift trencher, roller loader.
Must have at least 3-5 years recent experience in Construction as an equipment operator, working around utilities, trenching, pipe laying, and sewer, water, storm and infrastructure placement.
Ability to understand and follow specific oral instructions.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.
Maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Operate motor vehicles.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
